Birthday – Sunday Stamps132

Happy Tuesday – thanks for taking the time to swing by my blog today!

I had fun making today’s card first off because it’s a horizontal layout.  I normally do vertical cards, so this was fun.  The layout comes from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

To start my card off I used Bermuda Bay as my base color.  I used a pattern from the Blooms & Bliss DSP for my vertical detail.

My sentiment comes from the Better Together Stamp Set.  I stamped the Happy Birthday in Bermuda Bay and then stamped stars all around it in Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo.  I then cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits and also cut out a Bermuda Bay circle and an Island Indigo scallop to layer underneath it.

Now, although it is retired, I couldn’t resist using the Chevron Punch for the detail under my sentiment.  I just can’t resist a good chevron detail.  😉
