Today’s card was a first for me. I hardly ever use anything but Whisper White cardstock. If you’ve used it, you know, it’s the best paper out there. If you haven’t tried it – I’m getting a sheet to you. You’ll be sold!
However, the Typeset Specialty DSP Paper uses Very Vanilla as the coordinating color with Basic Black. So, why not.
I used Very Vanilla as my background color with Basic Black layered over it and then a sheet from the Typeset Specialty DSP. I just love the old, vintage map.
For my sentiment, I stamped the Going Global Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay and then punched out the nautical sign with a 2″ punch. I stamped the same image, this time in Basic Black and fussy cut the pointers (that’s what I’m going to call them).
Because the sentiment says “I thank my Lucky Stars for you,” I knew I needed a star somewhere, so I used the smallest star from the Stars Framelit Dies (part of Weekly Deals this week – see below) in Bermuda Bay.
Just to add another depth to the card, I used the Chevron Punch to add a detail behind everything.
