Boy 8th Birthday

My sweet boy celebrated his 8th birthday on Monday.  This kid is amazing and I just love being his mommy!  One of his favorite loves (among all things Lego) is to read graphic novels.

I knew for his birthday card I wanted to make a “comic” card.

Here’s how it turned out:

Balloon Celebration - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

It doesn’t “scream” comic book, but my little man got it and loved it.

I started with a base of Dapper Denim and layered it with some Real Red.

I then cut out different sized squares and rectangle in Whisper White and matted them in Dapper Denim.  I used different stamps from the Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating balloon punch to fill in the boxes in Real Red and Dapper Denim.

The number 8 comes from the Number of Years Stamp Set and I used the coordinating framlit to cut it out.

Cards are so much fun to make, but to specially make one for someone you love dearly is even better!
