May Flowers Framelits

Today’s card layout is inspired by the Freshly Make Sketches challenge this week.

FMS Final 242-001Between yesterday’s card and today’s card, I’m really trying to set up my card differently than my usual way.  Usually I start with a base card and layer another color over that on, etc.

So today I started with a base color of Perfect Plum – And left it at that – Eek!  I did use the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Perfect Plum to create some background to the flowers.

May Flowers - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

For the focal point of the card, I cut out two flowers (bigger one in Sweet Sugarplum, smaller in PerfectPlum) and two leaves (one in Garden Green, the other in Old Olive) and layered them over some silver ribbon.  I stamped the Hello from the Banners for You stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum.

Enjoy!
