Words are so strong. When Will and I were in children’s ministry we did a whole lesson on how our mouth is the strongest muscle we have because it has the power of life and death.
I wanted words to speak loud and clear for today’s card – Edifying and encouraging words. Ironically enough as I was making this card, my 10-year-old came in and begged me to let her keep this card. She loved the words on it.
My card starts with a base of Emerald Envy. I dry embossed some Crumb Cake with the Polka Dot embossing folder and layered it over some Whisper White and adhered it over the Emerald Envy.
To create my circles, I used three different sizes from the Layering Circles Framelits and the next larger sized scalloped circle in Emerald Envy. I took three words from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and first stamped in the center the word in Emerald Envy. Then I used the same word, this time stamping in Crumb Cake, around it. Under the middle circle I added some burlap just for some texture.
For the inside of my card, I covered over the top of one of the stamps from One Big Meaning (leaving just the “You” exposed) and inked it in Emerald Envy. I then removed the washi tape and stamped the “You” in the center of the inside.
Enjoy!
Today’s layout inspiration comes from the Pals Paper Arts challenge.
