Make a Wish Birthday

Although I have used the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set to create yummy cupcake cards in the past, I haven’t used the candles yet.  When I saw this week’s layout challenge over at Freshly Make Sketches, I knew just what I wanted to do.

FMS Final 248-001

For my card I start with a base of Flirty Flamingo.  I then cut out two Whisper White pieces and layered them over each other (kind of hard to tell in the picture).

Next I created my candles by stamping the two-step candle stamps in Flirty Flamingo (stamping off for the lighter color) and cut them out using the coordinating thinlit from the Sweet Cupcake Bundle.  Before attaching it I tied a bit of Linen Thread in a ribbon around them.

For my sentiment detail, I layered a Lace Doily, under some Ruched Flirty Flamingo Ribbon, under the “wish” sentiment which is included in the Sweet Cupcake Bundle.  I added the “Make A” just next to the candles and then some scattered pearl jewels around the card to finish it off.

Enjoy!
