Congrats – Fab Friday

My congrats card today uses both the Flourish Thinlits and the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

I first start with Crumb Cake.  Next I cut out a piece of Rich Razzleberry.  Before adhering it, I used the long thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits to cut out a strip to the left of my card and then re-applied it (after popping out all the negative pieces).

Next I cut out two shapes in Sweet Sugarplum using the Flourish Thinlits, the little flowers and then the cluster of…well, cluster of…whatever those are.  I actually cut out two of these because the little circles sprinkled around the card come from this cluster of, well, whatever it is.

I then cut a rectangle of a pattern from the Blooms & Bliss gorgeous DSP and layered it over some Sweet Sugarplum.  Over that I placed a strip of Burlap and then over that I cut out the congrats in Crumb Cake from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  Just to add some extra touches I added the Sweet Sugarplum circles and some pearls.

Enjoy!

I liked the Fab Friday challenge so much, I decided to use its layout for another card.

  2. I love how you’ve layered that pretty paper panel and the ribbon, Jaimie. I am not a fan of purple but I think these colors are gorgeous together. Thanks for the inspiration! So glad you were inspired to play along twice!

  3. Way cool! I love what you did with the thinlet strip along the edge – totally CASE-ing that! And of course, anything with all this purple is just fine by me, lol. Love it! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
