This week the Happy Stampers Blog Hop is bringing you a sketch challenge.
For the challenge I’m using the new to the 2016 Holiday Catalog Christmas Pines Bundle. It includes a really fun stamp set as it allows for two-step stamping, but you don’t have to use the multistep to create your pinecones. They look great with just single stamping as well.
I used Chocolate Chip as my base and then layered it with Very Vanilla. I used the solid pinecones in Chocolate Chip to create a background to the other ones cut out.
Next, I created my pinecones. I stamped one of the images in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake and then another image over it in Soft Suede. I then cut them out with the coordinating Pretty Pines Thinlit Dies and if you look closely you can see that it puts little cuts over the pinecones to make them look even more real.
I also cut out a few pines in Green Garden and arranged them on the card. I used Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio Pack to create a bow over the pinecones.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and then added a few Enamel Dots to the corner.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
