Stampin’ Up! Cozy Trees

Today’s card share is inspired by this week’s challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches and Fab Friday.fms-final-255-001fabfri-003My card uses Delightful Dijon as its base which I dry embossed using the Softly Falling embossing folder.

Then I layered Very Vanilla on Emerald Envy and stamped the larger tree from the Foxy Friends in Emerald Envy and then the smaller tree in Emerald Envy (stamping off first).  I used the masking technique to give a sense of depth to the trees.

Lastly I cut out a strip of the Delightful Dijon Ribbon from the Trio Pack and after deciding the placement of it, I stamped the sentiment from the Stitched with Cheer in Delightful Dijon above it.  These colors felt like a cozy fall evening which is why I chose that sentiment.  Fall is in the air!!

I love, love, love hosting classes, both locally and online.  I enjoy spending time together with friends and also making new crafting friends over a stamping project.  I would love to have you join any of my classes.  There’s no commitment, just good ole stampin’ fun!  For a detailed description of all the classes I offer, please click on the Classes Tab above.

In October, I’m offering a Product Based Class using Cellophane Bags.  These bags make gift giving really fun and add an extra sentimental element.  Whether you’re local or online, I’d love to have you join me!!!  RSVP on my Facebook page and I’ll e-mail you with how to make the PayPal payment.

Use this host code when your order is $50 or more (before shipping and taxes) and receive a free gift from me!  If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift.  The free gift is your choice of any item valued up to $8.00 in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.  See something you like?  Check out my store.

  1. I love how you’ve embossed the background to manage interesting but still CAS – and those trees are just great. This card would work in either hemisphere for Christmas!

  2. This is wonderful! Love how you used the colors and textures for a non-standard holiday card. Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
