Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  The theme for this month is Winter Holiday.  How fun!  We could choose from Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

I went with Thanksgiving.

I love Thanksgiving.  For a few years now we’ve hosted and I love the day start to finish.  I love cooking the meal with tons of yummy sides.  I love a beautiful table scape with candles, pumpkins, and gourds.  So to go along with this, I decided not to create a card, and instead a place card, napkin holder, and favor.

Here we go…

For all three I used a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP and colors Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, and Delightful Dijon.

Let me break down each one…

My place card uses Very Vanilla to work off of to which I layered it with a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP.  Then I added a Delightful Dijon ribbon knot.  I cut out a Mint Macaron petal from the Paisley Framelits and adhered it to the ribbon using Linen Thread.

For my napkin holder, I used the same DSP pattern to create a belly band around the napkin and then punched out a Mint Macaron Decorate Label.  I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze from the Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set and snipped the ends in a banner.

Next I created a tea light Thanksgiving favor for my guests.  I saw this great idea on this blog and decided to go for it! It’s super easy to create with the metric side (flip over the inches side and you’ll have centimeters) of grid paper you my have on hand.

First trim your cardstock at 28.5 x 5.  Along the long side, score at 8, 10, 18, 20, and 28.  In the square that will be your window, cut out a 2-1/2″ circle.

Next cut another cardstock 11.6 x 11.6.  Score each side at 1.9.  Now just assemble!

My favor uses Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, and Very Vanilla cardstock and the same patterned DSP.  I use the same petal from the place card above.  This time I used a sentiment from the Very Acorny Stamp Set and add a Cajun Craze enamel circle and tie the box closed with Very Vanilla Lace.

Enjoy!
