Birthday Girl Card

I had the great pleasure of creating a project for a sweet girl’s 10-year-old birthday party.  The girls used Stampin’ Up! supplies to decorate journals to take home.  Fun was had by all.

I wanted to create a special birthday card for the birthday girl to have using her favorite color, purple.

I used Perfect Plum as the base and layered it with Whisper White.  The Sweet Sugarplum on top I dry embossed using the Sparkle Embossing Folder.

Next I created my cupcake using the Sweet Cupcake Bundle.  I used Sweet Sugarplum to create the icing and Perfect Plum for the wrapper.  Each color I stamped full strength for the darkest color, and then stamped off once and then off twice for the other shades.

Lastly I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set in Perfect Plum and also cut out the “Sweet” in Perfect Plum.  I added a few rhinestones on the icing to finish off the cupcake.

Enjoy!
