Stampin' Up! Stitched Christmas Tree

Today’s card is inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge.

I used Delightful Dijon as the base to my card. One of the great things about Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper is how wonderful the patterns work together in a given pack. In this case, I used both sides of one page from the Warmth & Cheer DSP. I covered the seam with some Delightful Dijon ribbon.

From the time I saw the tree pattern on the Warmth & Cheer DSP, I knew I wanted to try to create my own tree mirroring its look. So I stamped the Stitched with Cheer stamp in Garden Green multiple times in a row and then cut it out in a tree formation matted on Basic Black.

To create my sentiment, I heat embossed using white embossing powder the phrase from the Stitched with Cheer stamp set on Garden Green.
