Inside The Lines Birthday Card

For today’s card I’m using the Inside The Lines DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog (free with $50 order).

I start with Bermuda Bay cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the Inside The Lines DSP over Whisper White cardstock.

To get the ombre look I used a brayer and Bermuda Bay ink.  I inked the brayer up and then starting at the top rolled it over the DSP.  I did this multiple times until I got the darkness I wanted.  The key is to not re-ink the brayer until you’ve reached the bottom.

I then used the Suite Sayings Stamp Set to create my sentiment which I stamped on a strip of Whisper White and cut on a diagonal.  I stamped the one sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder and I stamped the others in Bermuda Bay.  I added a strip of Gold Foil Sheet underneath the sentiment and then a 3/8″ Metallic Gold Ribbon bow.
