My card today uses a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
I was inspired by this week’s challenge over at Global Design Project. What inspired me the most was the neutral color pallet with a small pop of color.
My card starts with Sahara Sand cardstock as its base. I cut a smaller piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, dry embossed it using the Falling Petals embossing folder, and matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock.
The sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set which I stamped in Melon Mambo ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I then stamped the hearts from the Weather Together stamp set in Sahara Sand all around it and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I cut out an arrow from the Love Notes Framelits in Melon Mambo cardstock. In order for it to fit behind the sentiment, I cut it in half and then adhered it behind the square.
I placed a strip of Very Vanilla Lace Trim along the bottom and placed a Lace Doily (Very Vanilla side up0 in the corner. I adhered the square sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I added a Falling in Love embellishment to finish it off.
