My card today is actually one that I’ll be doing with my Special Education class and Make & Take class this week. I’m super excited!
It starts off with Peekaboo Peach cardstock which I dry embossed using the Polka Dot embossing folder. I then cut a 2-1/4″ strip from a pattern from the Tasty Treats DSP and adhered it along the middle of the card.
I then cut out the Whisper White circle using the second to largest circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and then cut out the scalloped circle using Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the second to largest scalloped circle. I cut out my sundae using the Cool Treats bundle and Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, and Chocolate Chip cardstock. I stamped the cherry using Real Red and Crumb Cake ink and cut it out using the Cool Treats Bundle.
For my sentiment, I used the Washi Tape technique. I first covered the “cherry” part of the sentiment using Washi Tape and inked it up with Watermelon Wonder ink. I then removed the Washi Tape and stamped the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock. I trimmed it down and adhered it to the card. Then I stamped the full sentiment and fussy cut the “cherry” out and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
