Stampin’ Up! Pocketful of Sunshine

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop’s theme is anything from the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  Enjoy hopping around and seeing all the beautiful new products!

My card today starts off with Pool Party cardstock as its base.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I started off by making my pocket using the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle.  I first took Pool Party cardstock and the new Whisper White Uninked Craft Pad & Reinker and a sponge to gently dab the top of the cardstock.  This gave it a very light, weathered look, like jeans would be.  I stamped all the details on the cardstock in Memento Black ink – the glasses on Lemon Lime cardstock and the sunshine on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I then stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink on Lemon Lime cardstock and adhered it over the pocket a bit.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by the color challenge at The Paper Players this week.

  1. I have been trying to resist getting this set, but this is so cute, it might have sent me over the edge! I particularly like how you added the white to the jeans for that faded look! So clever! Thanks for playing with my colors this week at the Paper Players!

  2. Jaimie this is such a fun card! The balance of colours is just perfect and the faded denim a great look! This set wasn’t on my wish list at all, but I think you might have just changed that! Your card has a great summer vibe that is perfect for this colour combo. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
