Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest Birthday

My card today was inspired by challenges at Freshly Made SketchesTGIF Challenges! (loosely, as this isn’t necessarily a masculine card, but a gender-neutral card),  and Color Throwdown this week.

My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock which I dry embossed using the new Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.  I then cut out a scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits from the Naturally Eclectic DSP and adhered it to the card.

I created the lemons using the Lemon Zest Bundle.  I stamped the whole lemon and piece of lemon in Lemon Lime Twist ink and cut them out using the coordinating punch and Layering Circles Framelits, cutting the piece of lemon in half.  I stamped the lemon leaves in Crumb Cake ink and used the punch to cut them out.

I added some Pool Party solid baker’s twine over the leaves for a little detail.  (Hard to see from the picture, but) I stamped on Pool Party cardstock the cut lemon image in Versamark ink and then stamped the sentiment over that in Night of Navy ink.

Enjoy!
