Stampin’ Up! Badges & Banners

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I took a pattern from the Fresh Florals DSP and adhered it on the card

I took a banner of Watercolor Paper and stamped the birdcage image from the Badges & Banners stamp set in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I then took an Aqua Painter and wet the paper and added Berry Burst ink to it.  In order to dry it faster, I used the Heat Tool to dry the paper which made the ink run, which I actually really liked.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Berry Burst cardstock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and set it with the heat tool.  I used the Duet Banner punch to cut it out.  Lastly, I matted the banner on a bigger Berry Burst banner.

Enjoy!

  1. I know what you mean about the running watercolor. However, it does add to its uniqueness and I rather like it too! On a personal note, we ate at Black and Blue (Western Ave) the other night. If you haven’t been there, you need to go for a special occasion. It was father’s day for us and the first time father and daughter had been able to celebrate together in 17 years! We might have even passed your house 🙂
