Stampin’ Up! Celebration Time

My card today actually starts off with Basic Black cardstock, which you can’t see at all because of the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  I was inspired by a card I saw by Chrissy Larson.  I thought it was just so clever to start off with DSP.  I then matted a panel of Pool Party cardstock on some Basic Black cardstock.

Next I created my layering.  First I cut out a stitched oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then a piece of Finely Woven Tranquil Tide ribbon.  I used the Celebration Thinlits to cut out the striped piece of Powder Pink cardstock.  The thinlit actually leaves a little hole at the time of it, but I just snipped it off.  Next, I wound around some Silver Thread and then added another pattern from the A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I cut it out with the Celebration Thinlits.  I added a few rhinestones for a little detail.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
