Dragonfly Delight & An Ombre Butterfly

Today’s card was inspired by the case the designer challenge this week at Global Design Project.

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  Using the Dragonfly Detail stamp set, I stamped the dots twice at the top of the card in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim ink on the bottom of the card.

I created the layering using the Layering Squares Framelits and Stitched Framelits and Whisper White cardstock, Dapper Denim cardstock, and Silver Foil cardstock.

Next I cut out a butterfly from the Color Theory DSP using the Butterflies thinlits.  I put adhesive behind it and first wound around some Silver Thread.  I put more adhesive on it and wound around some Dapper Denim Baker’s Twine and then wound around some Whisper White ribbon.  I added a few rhinestones on top of the butterfly.
