SNEAK PEEK Christmas Happiness Card

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

My card today starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I used the NEW Christmas Happiness stamp set and stamped the needles in Old Olive ink (stamping straight on, as well as stamping off).

I took a pattern from the NEW Merry Little Christmas designer series paper and matted it on a panel of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Using the Christmas Happiness stamp set, I stamped the outline of the two bigger pinecones in Early Espresso ink and stamped one solid pinecone image in Soft Suede ink and the other in Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on Whisper White cardstock and stamped the background pinecone in Crumb Cake ink (stamping off twice first).  I fussy cut the pinecones out and adhered them to the card front.  I folded around some Old Olive Ribbon and tied a Linen Thread bow around it to hold it together.

Enjoy!

  1. Old Olive is one of my favorite colors to use on Christmas cards. I love how it gives a card a warm feel. Especially so when paired with another warm color like Early Espresso. Your pine boughs and pinecones are delightful! Love this Christmas card. Thanks for joining us for our 300th sketch celebration at Freshly Made Sketches!
