Are you sick of me saying I’m so excited for today’s card?!
Because I am so excited for today’s card!!
Last Friday I had my Holiday Catalog party. We played some games, won some door prizes, and we also made two cards. I decided to make the cards a little more labor intensive than I normally would.
My rule of thumb for my parties is I never design a card that I wouldn’t myself proudly send. But even these 2 cards had more details than usual. We had plenty of time so we took it step by step and everyone’s cards came out great!
So for this first card (second one will be posted tomorrow) I used the Hearts Come Home Bundle. I start out with Night of Navy cardstock. After rubbing the spot to be stamped on with an Embossing Buddy, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.
Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the edgelit with church from the Hometown Greetings Edgelits to cut out the scene. I took the edgelit with the houses and lined it up as best I could and cut out the extra house. I then took the Softly Falling embossing folder and embossed only the bottom of the scene.
Next I took some scrap pieces of So Saffron cardstock and cut them to fit behind the buildings. I then ran through the same edgelit as was used before (with the church) with Always Artichoke cardstock and then cut off the trees and glued them on the white trees.
