Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons

Today’s card is a quick, but sweet “Thinking of You” card which is really a thank you card. Customers who placed orders this past week received this card in the mail with a message on a Post-It Note, leaving it blank for them to fill in and re-mail.

I recently bought the Colorful Seasons stamp set when it was on sale earlier this month, but didn’t have the coordinating thinlits….yet 😉

So I had to create a card that showcased the stamp set without the need to cut any leaves out. Easier said than done and I, once again, have such an appreciation for thinlits/framelits.

My card starts off with Crushed Curry cardstock. I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (which will be layered on Pumpkin Pie cardstock) and created my falling leaves using the Colorful Seasons stamp set. I took the smallest leaf and inked it up with Crushed Curry and then sort of tapped the edges on some Peekaboo Peach ink.

I did the same technique with the bigger leaf on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock. I inked up the outline leaf image in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and heat embossed it. I cut this one out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then matted a Gold Foil Sheet square behind it.

I inked up the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and heat embossed that as well. I wound around some Gold Thread behind the square and adhered it to the card.
