This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge. Happy hopping!
When I saw the colors this week, I knew that I was going to use the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper.
With the Annual Catalog, looming (well, sorta) around the corner, I always feel this mad dash to use up the old DSP. It’s time to use it up and make room for all the new pretties!
My card today starts off with Dapper Denim cardstock. I then took two patterns from the Eastern Palace DSP and matted one on Whisper White cardstock and the other on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and adhered the cardsTock offset from one another on the card. I wound a piece of Shimmer Basic Gray ribbon (free during Sale-a-bration) around the cardstock and adhered everything down.
I cut out a circle using the Layering Circles Framelits. I dyed some Embossing Paste with a Lemon Lime Twist reinker and used one of the masks from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and a Palette Knife to create the image on the circle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Wishes Stamp Set (free during Sale-a-bration) in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat set it. I adhered it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Enjoy!
Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenge at Global Design Project.
