The third Thursday of each month the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop will be joining Sandi MacIver and her Happy Stampers Blog Hop for a combined blog hop! Happy hopping!
As participants we could choose between the sketch challenge and color challenge – I chose to use both!
My card starts off with Night of Navy cardstock. I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and using a Sponge Brayer and Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide, and Crumb Cake inks, I “painted” on the three colors.
I then ran the cardstock through the Big Shop in the Hexagons embossing folder to give it some texture. To emphasize the texture even more, I used the Sponge Brayer again ( and went over the cardstock which made the edges of the hexagons a darker shade.
Next I layered a piece of Night of Navy corduroy ribbon over a small pattern from the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.
Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I cut it out using the Tailored Tag Punch which is sticking around in the new Annual Catalog – yay!
Enjoy!
