Stampin’ Up! Love You To Pieces Card

I’ve been so busy cutting up and prepping my Product Shares that I really haven’t had time to play with my new Annual Catalog goodies.

So I was so excited yesterday to pull out the Love You To Pieces Bundle for my Facebook Live Tutorial.

This is a fun set and I knew I “needed” it because my girls and I LOVE doing puzzles in the fall and around Christmas.  I can’t wait to scrapbook with this bundle!

I had to move my Facebook Live Tutorial to Friday night because of a scheduling conflict, but normally they’re Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST.  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive that night’s card!

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can always catch them on YouTube.

Check out the video below to see how I made today’s card!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Granny Apple Green cardstock.  Next I mounted some Whisper White cardstock on a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I then cut a pattern from the Tropical Escape DSP on an angle to adhere to the card.

I used the new Tropical Chic Bundle (stamp set & matching framelits saves you 10%) for the cluster of tropical leaves.  I used Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, and Blushing Bride ink and cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Blushing Bride ink and tied a bow through one of the Tropical Elements to adhere to the corner of it.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Roots Sympathy Card

Label. Cut. Package. Repeat.

I’ve been a busy little bee getting my product shares ready.

The best part of product share prep is getting my hands on all the new product.  I’ve fallen in love with the Basic Backed Sequins – GORGEOUS! And the Mini Ruffled Ribbons – the catalog just doesn’t do them justice.

Tomorrow I start cutting DSP – can’t wait!

My card today starts off with Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut a banner from a pattern from the Nature’s Poem DSP.

I took a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and another pattern from the Nature’s Poem DSP and offset them from one another.

I used the Nature’s Roots Thinlits and Blackberry Bliss cardstock to cut out a leaf.  I love how these thinlits both cut out, as well as emboss images!  I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink from the Better Together stamp set.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Springtime Impressions Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop them is “birthdays!”  I can’t wait to see what everyone created as birthday cards are just one of those things I’m constantly sending out.

My card today starts off with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then took a panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card.

Next I used the Spring Impressions Thinlits to cut out the intricate flower from Watercolor Paper.  I then used the Layering Circles Framelits to trim it down to a circle.  I used an Aqua Painter and Lovely Lipstick, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Call Me Clover, and Pineapple Punch inks to color in the flowers.

I cut out a Whisper White scalloped circle to go behind it.  Next I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set.  I wound behind it some Silver Thread.

I tucked behind the sentiment a small piece of Burlap Ribbon and adhered the sentiment down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Waterfront Thank You

I love versatility.

Sometimes I get stamp sets just because I like them and I think they’re fun, but many times when I look at a stamp set I try to think about how many different ways I can use it.

The Waterfront Stamp Set is carrying over from the Occasions Catalog and I think it is so versatile – from the beach to the mountains, for sympathy cards or for masculine ones, and then the big one – scrapbooking.

In the Annual Catalog, Stampin’ Up! has put together some bundles with coordinating product.  This is brilliant!!!  If you’re just starting out and not sure where to begin or if you find all the product overwhelming – these bundles are for you!!!

And there happens to be a bundle with this Waterfront Stamp Set.  You can check it out here.

My card today starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I stamped the dots from the Waterfront Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink along the sides.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I created my scene using the Waterfront Stamp Set and Crumb Cake (mountains), Bermuda Bay (water), Pineapple Punch (sun), and Early Espresso (house) inks.

Using the Layering Circles Framelits, I cut out a circle from the middle of it.  I matted the cardstock on a panel of Pineapple Punch cardstock and wound around a Linen Thread bow.  I adhered it to the card and then stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink.

I adhered the cut out circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions – Stamparatus

Happy Friday!

Any fun plans for the weekend?

As we speak, I am spending the whole day with 22 second graders for my kids’ school Field Day.  I always walk away from Field Day (or any time spent at school) thinking how in the world do teachers do it?!?!  My hats off to all the teachers out there!

My card today is a fun and bright one that uses the Stamparatus…

I know – two days in a row!!

I start off with Pool Party cardstock.  I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (which will be matted on Berry Burst cardstock) and put it on the base of the Stamparatus.

I used the larger of the “flower” images from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and stuck it to the hinge of the Stamparatus.  I inked it up in Berry Burst ink and pressed down.  Then I unhinged it, moved it to the next lower hinge, and repeated this all the way down.  This way the “flowers” are all perfectly spaced out.  I did the same thing for the smaller flower in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I adhered a banner of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and wound around it a Linen Thread bow.  Using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, I cut out a Pool Party oval and stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Versamark.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I adhered the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Thank You

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

Today’s card uses a fun technique using the Stamparatus.  I’ve seen it done a few times and wanted to try it out for myself.

My card starts off with Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  Next I adhered a pattern from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and lined it up on the Stamparatus.  I inked up the trunk from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink and the top in Pumpkin Pie ink and pressed it on the paper.  Then I took a dauber and added hints of Rich Razzleberry to the top of the tree and pressed it down.  Lastly, I used a dauber and added hints of Real Red to the tree and Early Espresso to the trunk and pressed it down.  The result is so pretty!

I matted the Whisper White first on Real Red and then using dimensionals on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I wrapped around some Rich Razzleberry twine from the Nature’s Twine pack in a bow.  I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set (using the Washi Tape technique) in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Boy’s Birthday Card

Today my son turns 10!!!  … Double Digits!

It’s a big deal.  If you’ve followed my blog over the past couple of years, you’ll know that I go all out decorating for birthdays.  Balloons.  Streamers.  Beds decorated.

And I always try to think about their interests and what they’re into for both their decorating, as well as their birthday card.  My son is really into black and lime green right now, so that’s what I went with!

Of course I had to match the card to the decorations.

My card starts off with Basic Black cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

I stamped the bike using the Bike Ride Stamp Set and cut it out using the Build A Bike Framelits Dies.  I used Memento Black and Lemon Lime Twist ink.  I also cut out the Lemon Lime Twist banners using the framelits.

I stamped the dots using the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and cut the balloons out using the Balloon Banquet Punch.  I tied Black Baker’s Twine around them and tied a knot around the handlebars of the bike.  I adhered the balloons down with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the bike (minus the tires) down in Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Sunshine Wishes Stamp Set and was stamped in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!

Swirly Bird Sailboat Card – Hand Stamped Sentiments 291

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is an inspirational challenge.

So immediately I thought nautical…
However (and to my shock) I don’t have any nautical stamps!

Although this has since been corrected as I bought the Sea of Textures Bundle yesterday 😉

So I decided to create a watercolor background inspired by the colors and look of the image.  My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and used an Aqua Painter to make it very wet.  I then used the Aqua Painter to pick up ink which I squeezed over the paper.  The tinted water naturally pooled and then I dried it using a Heat Tool.  I did one color at a time so this created different shades of each color.

I did this using Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, and Pool Party ink.  I ran this through the Big Shot in the Seaside embossing folder and then matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.

I created my sailboat using the Swirly Bird stamp set, which I fussy cut out and adhered using Stampin Dimensionals.  I used Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, and Pool Party ink.  Behind the sailboat I adhered some burlap ribbon and then I stamped the sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Night of Navy.

Enjoy!
