This week’s Handmade Sentiments Challenge is a color challenge. I sure hope you’ll play along!
My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock. I then took a pattern from the Subltes Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.
I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it using the Simple Stripes embossing folder. I matted this on Daffodil Delight cardstock and wound around a Silver/Pool Party Baker’s Twine bow and tucked some Silver Thread under the bow.
Next I stamped the rhino from the Animal Outing Stamp Set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock. I colored him in using the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker and used the Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the bird. I cut it out using the coordinating Animal Friends Thinlits.
I used the same thinlits to cut out some branches in Pool Party cardstock to tuck behind the rhino. I stamped the “welcome” in Smoky Slate ink and “Little One” in Pool Party ink from the Animal Outing Stamp Set, fussy cut them out, and adhered them using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
