Stampin’ Up! Sea of Textures Thanks

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Berry Burst cardstock. I then matted a panel of Watercolor Paper on Pool Party cardstock.

Next I took an Aqua Painter and got the Watercolor Paper wet.  I then picked up Pool Party ink and “painted” over the wet area.

When that was dry I stamped the “splotch” and the sentiment in Memento Black ink.  The “splotch” was a last minute add as I somehow got a small patch of black in the corner which needed covering up.

I stamped Mr. Octopus in Berry Burst ink from the Sea of Textures Stamp Set and cut him out and the net as well (from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock) using the Under the Sea Thinlits.  I adhered the octopus down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

  1. Great card, Jaimie. You know what I like best? The fact that you said you had a ‘goof’ and the black splotch was to cover up a smudge. Very well done. If you hadn’t told us, we would never have known. I think it is good that you who make beautiful cards can say that you goofed and how you fixed it. Thanks.
