Today marks a new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. Be sure to play along this week!
This is a beautiful fall theme challenge and I thought it worked perfectly with this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme which is “Giving Thanks.”
My card starts off with Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I then took a panel of Mango Melody cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
Using the Layering Circles Framelits I cut out a circle first from the Mango Melody cardstock. I traced the cut circle on a panel of Whisper White cardstock and on the Pumpkin Pie card front. I then lined up the circle framelit over and cut them out.
I stamped the sunflower image from the Many Blessings stamp set on a panel of Whisper White cardstock to be adhered inside the card. I also stamped the wreath on a separate panel of Whisper White cardstock in Memento Black ink.
I used Dark Mango Melody (inside of sunflower and highlight on leaf), Light Daffodil Delight (edge of sunflower), Dark & Light Granny Apple Green (leaves), Smokey Slate (jar), Light Pumpkin Pie (highlight on leaf), and Light Crumb Cake (inside of sunflower) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the images in.
I used the wreath from the Many Blessings Stamp Set, but made it a complete circle by using the masking technique. I stamped the wreath first in Memento Black ink. I then covered the two ends with a piece of scrap paper. I very carefully only inked up a bit of the wreath again and stamped the image, connecting the two ends.
I then fussy cut the wreath out and adhered it over the cicle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Many Blessings Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock. I used the Detailed Trio Punch to cut the ends and the hole for the tag. I wove through some Linen Thread and tied a Braided Linen ribbon over it.
Enjoy!
