Stampin’ Up! – Hearts Come Home Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

Today I decided to make a winter card.
Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean winter cards are and the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set has such a cozy feel to it.

My card starts off with Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Next I took a pattern from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  I used the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I then matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

Next I used the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set and stamped the houses in Blackberry Bliss, trees in Pear Pizzazz (stamping off for some), and Gray Granite for the smoke.  I matted this on Gray Granite cardstock and adhered it just below the sentiment.
