Shout out to my 12-year-old daughter for being my photographer for today’s card!!
I woke up early yesterday to go to work and it was still dark out. I realized by the time I got home it would be dark again so I texted her to photograph today’s card while there was still sunlight.
I think she did a fabulous job!!
My card today starts off with Balmy Blue cardstock (although you can’t see it). I adhered over it a pattern from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.
Next I matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Balmy Blue cardstock.
Then I inked up the lilies from the Lasting Lily Stamp Set using a dauber and Balmy Blue ink. With the Distinktive stamps (like this one), less ink is definitely better. A dauber gives you more control as to how much ink is being put on.
I did the same thing this time with Old Olive ink for the leaves and stems. I then fussy cut the lilies out.
Under the lilies I adhered a pattern from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. I stamped the sentiment from the Lasting Lily Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Balmy Blue Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it, adhering it down using Stampin Dimensionals.
Finally I added an Old Olive Linen Thread bow around the one lily.
Enjoy!
