This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge. Happy hopping!
My card first starts off with Call Me Clover cardstock which I embossed using the Dot To Dot embossing folder.
I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and stamped the flowers from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set in Stazon Black Ink. I then took an Aqua Painter and colored Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover, and Night of Navy ink to color the flowers in. I then matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Versamark ink on Night of Navy cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits, as well as a scalloped circle from Call Me Clover cardstock.
I then wrapped some Call Me Clover ribbon behind the sentiment.
Enjoy!

So pretty, Jaimie! Love that embossed card front and your little flowers are really cute! 🙂
Thanks Mary
This is great, Jaimie. The first thing that caught my eye was the look of a color wash behind the flowers.
Thanks Karen
So pretty Jaimie! Love the embossed background under your pretty flowers. Great design! 🙂
Thanks Amy!
Pretty card, Jaimie. I really like that embossed background. Now I wish I had that TIEF! It didn’t appeal to me before.
Thanks Julie!
One question….Did you change your mind about what stamp set to use AFTER you had your title?? Just checking to make sure I am not the only one who does that.
Nope. I usually go by the sentiment. And the sentiment comes from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.
This is such a gorgeous card…love the pop of flowers on your art panel and the embossed background is fabulous!!!
Great card Jaimie, it just pops with a fun festive feel. I might have to ink that set up again, love it!
Great card, Jaimie. Love the way you colored the blooms in this stamp set. So pretty.
I’m always impressed with white embossing…I can never get it so crisp! Great job on the whole package.
