When life gets busy, busy…I tend to stick to clean and simple cards.
After working hard since October, my oldest daughter (12) and her team this past weekend participated in an Odyssey of the Mind competition! Any fellow OOTM’ers out there?!
Needless to say, we’re all consumed with this right now as they took 1st place and will continue competing.
So quick and simple it was…
My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock. I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
I used the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set to stamp the small and larger bokeh images in Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, and Soft Sea Foam ink a few times in the corner.
I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.
Lastly I used the Butterfly Beauty Framelits to cut out two butterflies, one from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and the other from Mint Macaron cardstock.
Enjoy!
Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

That is so pretty! Love the colors and the clean design is perfect! Congrats to your daughter and her team! 🙂
Thanks Amy!
CAS is not my style, but yours is lovely. Will the team keep going to World Finals? How exciting for all of you to celebrate 1st place.
The team unfortunately has never made it past States but Worlds is always their goal. One of these years they will!
Sweet card, Jaimie. Congrats to your daughter! My son was in Odyssey of the Mind more than 30 years ago. I can still remember him building items with Balsam sticks.
Oh wow. My daughter does the balsa wood problem too. It’s quite amazing what they’re able to do. Did your son ever make it to worlds?
Love this! The cluster of stamped circles is a great background for the butterflies! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Oh how lovely! Your monochromatic card with black sentiment is gorgeous! Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
Beautiful! I love this CAS idea! TFS!!
Thanks so much!
