Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then measured a top and bottom piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

In the space I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana ink and added a few Granny Apple Green Enamel Dots.

I used the Tropical Chic Bundle to first cut out a Daffodil Delight leaf.  For another leaf I stamped the image in Versamark ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  For the bigger leaf, I used the Stamparatus.  I first inked it up in Granny Apple Green ink and then dabbed the edges of it in Coastal Cabana ink.

I wound around some Silver Thread over the leaves.  I also folded over some Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green ribbon which I secured using Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  I added a Coastal Cabana enamel dot over the fold.

Enjoy!

  1. That embossing folder hasn’t been one of my faves but you show how pretty it can make a card! Love the way it sets off the sentiment! TFS.

  3. I love how you broke up the design on the embossed card front by adding in your sentiment. This card is really pretty with the colors and the leaves wrapped with that coastal cabana/granny apple ribbon bow. (I need to get some of that ribbon on my next order!!). Awesome card! It is so pretty!
