Every week for the month of October I’ve been giving my team a sketch and color challenge. They can use them individually or in the same project.
I took a break from Christmas cards today and used the challenges to make a birthday card.
My card starts off with Terracotta Tile cardstock, on which I adhered a Terracotta Tile pattern from the 2019-2021 In-Color Designer Series Paper.
I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set in Terracotta Tile ink and leaves in Mint Macaron. I then matted this on Mint Macaron cardstock.
Lastly I stamped the sentiment in parts so that it would fit on a long banner in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. In order to stamp the sentiment in parts, I covered the part I wasn’t stamping with washi tape, inked up the stamp, removed the tape, and stamped it down. I did this until I had the full sentiment.
