Stampin’ Up! Witty-Cisms Graduation Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Basic Black cardstock.  I then cut another panel of Basic Black cardstock and embossed it using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

Next I took panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the congratulations from the Delightful Day Stamp Set in Memento Black ink across the front, sometimes not re-inking in order to get a lighter shade.

I then matted this on Gold Foil and wrapped a Basic Black knot around it.

I stamped the “you did it” from the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I then used the Layering Squares Dies to cut out a scalloped Basic Black square and Gold square to layer underneath it.

I then lastly added a few sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins to the one corner.
