This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge. Happy hopping!
My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock.
I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and generously applied water using an Aqua Painter. I added one layer of Coastal Cabana ink to it using the Aqua Painter, dried it with the Heat Tool, wet the paper again, and added more color.
By adding color, drying it, and adding more color, you get a nice layered look of color.
I then offset a panel of Soft Suede cardstock underneath it.
I then stamped the dock and birds in Soft Suede ink and boat in Early Espresso ink on Watercolor Paper. I used my Aqua Painter, not too wet, to pull color out from the stamped image. I cut these out using the coordinating Dockside Dies.
I also added a little Daffodil Delight ink to the bellies of the birds.
I then stamped the sentiment from the By The Dock Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake banner. I adhered all the images down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Enjoy!
