This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge. Happy hopping!
As you’ll see in my card below I had no trouble with the Poppy Parade and Old Olive, but struggled with the Blackberry Bliss, so I sorta tucked that color in 😉
My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock. I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the outline of the flower and leaves in Memento Black ink.
I took the flower “fill” image and stamped that in Poppy Parade ink over the flowers. For the leaf, I inked it up in Old Olive ink but only stamped down a side of the stamp so as to keep the ink inside the leaf (as the image is much bigger than the leaf). I then matted this on Basic Black cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock. I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I cut it out using the coordinating Painted Labels Dies.
Underneath the sentiment I adhered a Blackberry Bliss banner and tied a Blackberry Bliss bow next to it.
Enjoy!
