Stampin’ Up! Two Cards Using Love You To Pieces Stamp

What color do you struggle using?

You know, that color that you avoid almost at all cost.
For me it’s yellow…and then orange (unless it’s fall).

But when I saw the FabFriday challenge (see below), I wanted to challenge myself.

I took inspiration from Tami White’s card

My card starts off with Mango Melody cardstock.  I then took a Daffodil Delight pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper and matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the Puzzle Pieces Dies to cut out a big puzzle.  I stamped the “love you” in Mango Melody ink and “to pieces” in Terracotta Tile ink from the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set.  I adhered these down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I added a Daffodil Delight bow.

Because the first card used so much yellow and orange…I then decided to make a card using the same stamps and dies and still using the challenge colors, but just a little less of them.

Here they are together.  Which one is your favorite?

Today’s cards were inspired by this week’s Fab Friday Challenge.

  1. They’re both great designs! The white elements definitely help with the brightness. In spite of them not being your favorite colors they are nice and cheerful cards! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
