Stampin’ Up! NEW Celebrate Sunflowers Celebrate You Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

This past weekend I went to Facebook to get help for today’s card.  I knew I wanted to use the NEW In Good Taste Designer Series Paper but I wasn’t sure whether to go with the light or dark shade wood.

Well, here’s the final product:

My card starts off with So Saffron cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and matted it on Mango Melody cardstock.

I then stamped the sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Mango Melody ink on So Saffron cardstock.  I cut it out and a Mango Melody sunflower outline using the Sunflowers Dies.

I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink on Old Olive cardstock and then cut them out, as well as leaf outlines from Old Olive cardstock to adhere over them.  I adhered the leaves under the flower and then adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers in Old Olive ink.  I cut out the “let’s” and then fussy cut the “celebrate you.”  I wound around some Linen Thread under the sentiment and adhered them down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
