Stampin' Up! Birds & Branches Friend Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge. Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Purple Posy cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

I then matted a pattern from the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper on Crumb Cake cardstock and wound a Linen Thread bow around it.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out a label. I then stamped the branch from the Birds & Branches Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink and the flowers in Highland Heather ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink and adhered a Purple Posy Enamel butterfly next to it.

I stamped the smaller image of the bird and feet in Gray Granite ink. I stamped the larger image of the bird in Gray Granite ink also, just stamping off first for a lighter shade. I cut them out using the Birds & More Dies.

To make the eye darker, I just used a Gray Granite Stampin’ Write Marker.
