Stampin' Up! Joyful Life Thank You Card

I shared a sweet card Monday using the cute pig from the Joyful Life Stamp Set.

Today I’m sharing another card using it, but this time showing the sweetest hedgehog.

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop theme is “autumn/harvest,” and although my card doesn’t scream fall – I saw the apples in the bowl and knew I wanted to use this stamp set.

Each fall, we go apple picking and then come home and make fresh apple pie. It’s something I really look forward to – there’s nothing like freshly picked apples!

My card starts off with Real Red cardstock.

I then used the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out a large label from regular copy paper. On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I layered over the label as a stencil and used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink. I then embossed it using the Timework Embossing Folder and matted it on another Basic White panel.

Next I stamped the hedgehog from the Joyful Life Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and colored it in using Real Red, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut him out using the same Hippo & Friends Dies.

Underneath the label, I wound over a piece of Real Red ribbon and then added a couple of Rhinestones and Dots around.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from Pansy Patch Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Soft Suede cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I cut it out with the same Hippo & Friends Dies.
