If you look back at the Christmas cards I’ve made, you’ll see red, green, maybe some silver or gold. I’m a Christmas traditional girl. I like my green and red. So when I saw this week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments I knew I wanted to go Christmas. Granted, there’s the Real Red, but the other colors definitely stretched me.
And because I needed a little sketch inspiration, I played along with Paper Craft Crew this week.
My card uses the Pool Party as its base and then I stamped the “smudge” from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set in Pool Party three times to the right of the card.
My next layer is a pattern from the A Little Foxy DSP layered over Bermuda Bay. Over that I stamped two bells using the Seasonal Bells Bundle (includes coordinating punch) in Bermuda Bay on Bermuda Bay and Real Red on Real Red. I then used the Layering Circles to do some colorful layering underneath them.
I then stamped in Bermuda Bay the Happy Christmas sentiment from the Seasonal Bells Stamp Set and swirled some Real Red Baker’s Twine underneath it. I added some Enamel Dots in Real Red and Bermuda Bay to finish it off.
