Stampin’ Up! Card Using Lemon Zest Stamp

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Old Olive cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Crushed Curry cardstock.

Then I did some fun layering using the Lemon Zest Stamp Set and matching Lemon Builder Punch.

TIP: Whenever you want to do some layering and are not quite sure how you want it to look.  Play around with the different images on your grid paper.  Then when you have it perfect – take a picture of it on your phone.  That way when you go to adhere everything down, you know exactly where to put it.

I stamped the whole lemon in Crushed Curry Ink and cut it out using the Lemon Builder Punch, as well as the leaves from Old Olive cardstock.

For the sliced lemons, I stamped off first for a lighter shade of Crushed Curry.  I fussy cut them out (although a circle framelit would’ve done the trick).  I adhered the one with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiments on Berry Burst cardstock in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set them.  The one I cut out using a circle stitched framelit.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Easy Card

Maybe it’s because St. Patrick’s Day just passed or maybe it’s because I’m ready to see some green on the trees and grass…

But today’s card is a monochromatic green card using the Tropical Chic and Incredible Like You stamp sets.

My card starts off with Call Me Clover Cardstock.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped all around it the images from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce, Call Me Clover, and Granny Apple Green ink.  I then matted this on Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Next I wrapped around a knot using the Granny Apple Green Textured ribbon.  This is one of my favorite ribbons to work with as it is very easy to make a beautiful bow or knot.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Incredible Like You Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday sketch challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons Thank you & Mother’s Day Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made yesterday at a stamp party I held for a group of moms.

They had requested to make birthday and thank you cards.  I chose this particular sentiment in particular as I thought it could be used as a thank you or even a Mother’s Day card.

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock which I embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder.

I then layered a pattern from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper on a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock.

This paper is FREE right now with any order of $50 during Sale-A-Bration.  Time’s running out so don’t wait to get yours today!

I used the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered under it a piece of Poppy Parade ribbon and adhered everything down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons – Spring Hello

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Celebrate Spring.”  Enjoy hopping around and seeing how everyone incorporated spring into their card.

My card starts off with Coastal Cabana cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile embossing folder.

I then took a panel of Watercolor Paper and very sparingly did a watercolor wash using Coastal Cabana ink and an Aqua Painter.  I then matted this on Flirty Flamingo cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay ink in the left upper corner.

I tucked a banner of Silver Foil underneath it and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set to stamp the flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink and then the Seasonal Layers Framelits to cut them out, as well as a branch from Early Espresso cardstock.  I added little rhinestones to the center of the flowers.

Enjoy!

Today’s card is part of the newest challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It’s a fun spring challenge.  Be sure to join us this week and submit your creation.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic – FMS378

For today’s card I’m using a set I haven’t picked up in a while.  It’s the Tropical Chic Bundle.

The bundle mixed with the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper is so tropical and makes me dream of hot days on the beach with a fun drink.

My card starts off with Blushing Bride cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Shaded Spruce cardstock.

I then adhered a pattern from the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper to the card front.

I used the Tropical Thinlits Dies to cut out three leaves from Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce cardstock. I cut Mini Dimensionals in half in order to adhere down the middle one.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!
