Painted Autumn Sunflower Card

Today’s card was inspired by the challenge this week at Fab Friday.

My card today was a labor of love.  I’m not a huge fussy cutter, but with the gorgeous printed sunflowers on a pattern in the NEW Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available September 1st), I had to get my paper snips out!

My card starts off with Crushed Curry cardstock.  I took a panel of Early Espresso cardstock and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  Before adhering it to the card, I adhered a doily behind it.

I took the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and fussy cut out one of the sunflowers.  I added a strip of Tear & Tape adhesive to the Early Espresso cardstock where the sunflower would go and added a strip burlap and mini gold sequins.  I adhered the sunflower using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set in Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White cardstock.

Enjoy!

Fall Frenzy Blog Hop

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is Fall Frenzy.

I love fall, it’s in fact my favorite season, so I was excited for the theme!

My card starts off with Very Vanilla cardstock which I layered with a pattern from the NEW (to the 2017 Holiday Catalog) Painted Autumn DSP.

Next I cut out the letters “Fall” from Tangerine Tango cardstock using the Large Letters Framelits.  I adhered them to a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted it on Tangerine Tango cardstock.  Underneath it I wound some Burlap Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow using Linen Thread.

Next I used the Bike Ride Bundle to create a few images around the card.  Here in Upstate New York, fall means back to school, apple picking, and bright sunflowers.  I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to focus on, so I used all three!  I stamped the images in Memento Black and then used Real Red and Old Olive inks for the apples, Crushed Curry and Old Olive inks for the sunflowers, and Tangerine Tango and Crumb Cake inks for the books.  I stamped the “Hello” from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.

Enjoy!

SNEAK PEEK Painted Autumn Stamp Set

I am so excited to introduce a few NEW products from this year’s Holiday Catalog!!

The Holiday Catalog is available to order from starting September 1st.  If you’d like to receive a catalog, let me know and I’d be happy to mail you one – stampinjaimie@gmail.com

My card today starts off with Early Espresso cardstock.  I then took a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and used the NEW Painted Autumn Bundle to create my scene.  I first stamped the sunflower in Daffodil Delight ink and then the more detailed image in Crushed Curry ink.  I stamped the center part in Early Espresso ink.

I created my sentiment using the Labels to Love stamp set which coordinates with the NEW Everyday Label Punch.  I stamped the “Give Thanks” in Early Espresso ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and punched it out.  I cut out another label in Early Espresso cardstock, cut it in half, and slightly layered it behind the Crushed Curry.

I wound around some Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine before adhering the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the leaf three times in Garden Green ink (stamping off the less detailed image first) and cut it out with the Leaf Punch which comes in the Painted Autumn Bundle (saving you 10%).  Lastly, I matted the Very Vanilla cardstock on Garden Green cardstock and added a few enamel circles to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Now, on to my card.

Fitting for Thanksgiving week, I’m bringing you a Thank You card.  My card uses Chocolate Chip as its base and is layered with Whisper White.

I then used the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set to create my tree.  The trunk and branches, rake, and ground are stamped in Chocolate Chip.  For the leaves I stamped them in Pumpkin Pie and then rolled the edges in Cajun Craze.  I then inked the leaves in Delightful Dijon and stamped off first.

I tied a bow along the left side in Delightful Dijon and then layered the sentiment over it.  I used Delightful Dijon, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White cardstock to create my layering and the stamp One Big Meaning cutting them out with the Layering Circles.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving

14581538_10210966496106680_970194283279938380_n

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  The theme for this month is Winter Holiday.  How fun!  We could choose from Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

I went with Thanksgiving.

I love Thanksgiving.  For a few years now we’ve hosted and I love the day start to finish.  I love cooking the meal with tons of yummy sides.  I love a beautiful table scape with candles, pumpkins, and gourds.  So to go along with this, I decided not to create a card, and instead a place card, napkin holder, and favor.

Here we go…

thanksgiving-table-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

For all three I used a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP and colors Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, and Delightful Dijon.

Let me break down each one…

My place card uses Very Vanilla to work off of to which I layered it with a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP.  Then I added a Delightful Dijon ribbon knot.  I cut out a Mint Macaron petal from the Paisley Framelits and adhered it to the ribbon using Linen Thread.

For my napkin holder, I used the same DSP pattern to create a belly band around the napkin and then punched out a Mint Macaron Decorate Label.  I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze from the Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set and snipped the ends in a banner.

Next I created a tea light Thanksgiving favor for my guests.  I saw this great idea on this blog and decided to go for it! It’s super easy to create with the metric side (flip over the inches side and you’ll have centimeters) of grid paper you my have on hand.

First trim your cardstock at 28.5 x 5.  Along the long side, score at 8, 10, 18, 20, and 28.  In the square that will be your window, cut out a 2-1/2″ circle.

Next cut another cardstock 11.6 x 11.6.  Score each side at 1.9.  Now just assemble!

My favor uses Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, and Very Vanilla cardstock and the same patterned DSP.  I use the same petal from the place card above.  This time I used a sentiment from the Very Acorny Stamp Set and add a Cajun Craze enamel circle and tie the box closed with Very Vanilla Lace.

Enjoy!

Totally Trees – Birthday

Before I show you my card, I first need to show you my inspiration, this week’s challenge over at Sunday Stamps.

ssc136f

Okay, now that I’ve showed you that, we can move on to my card…

I started with Early Espresso as my base and layered it with Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla.

totally-trees-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I then took the Woodgrain embossing folder and dry embossed a piece of Crumb Cake and cut it into 3 separate pieces.  I took a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys and cut it in a strip and layered it with some Very Vanilla Lace Trim.

totally-trees-stampin-up-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

Next I used the Totally Trees Stamp Set to create my tree which I cut out using the Layering Oval Framelits.  I initially wanted to do the Baby Wipe Technique; however, I realized you have ink refills for this technique.  So, I made my twist on this technique.  I used a dry paper towel and picked up some color (Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze) on it and just kind of smeared the stamp in different spots with each other and voila!

I created my sentiment using the Thoughtful Banners stamp set in Pumpkin Pie.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

SNEAK PEEK – Paisleys & Posies

If you’re swinging by from Amy’s blog – Welcome – Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.

For today’s card, I’m using the new Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set – a beautiful stamp set included in the Petals & Paisleys Suite from the 2016 Holiday Catalog.

Today’s card uses the colors Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, and Chocolate Chip.

Paisleys & Posies - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

I used the Watermelon Wonder as my base color and then layered it with the Peekaboo Peach.  Using the Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set, I created my own patterned paper.  I first stamped the bigger stamps and then each time stamped a smaller image.

Paisleys & Posies - Stampin Up - Stamp It Up With Jaimie

Honestly, I loved the pattern so much I really didn’t want to embellish it more and just heat embossed the sentiment in white over Watermelon Wonder.  As much as I love the paisleys in this stamp set, I honestly would’ve bought the set solely for this sentiment.  You’ll be seeing it a lot – I just love it!

Enjoy!
