Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Abstract Impressions Card

My card today is super quick and easy.  When in doubt – let the Designer Series Paper do all the work!

I started off with Very Vanilla cardstock.  Over that I adhered a pattern from the Tea Room Designer Series Paper.  I took another pattern and cut out a banner from it and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then wound around a few times the vanilla and gold ribbon from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo pack.  Over the ribbon I adhered a butterfly which I cut out from another pattern from the Tea Room DSP.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral from the Detailed with Love Stamp Set.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Delightfully Detailed Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

What stands out to me about today’s card – how quick and simple it is and how few products it requires.

No Big Shot, no punch, just beautiful paper, a nice sentiment, and a few embellishments.

My card today starts off with Shaded Spruce cardstock.

I then took one of the gorgeous overlays from the Delightfully Detailed Paper and adhered under it a panel of Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, and Shaded Spruce cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Detailed with Love stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White cardstock.

Lastly, I added a few Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots next to the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card GDP144

I’ve been so busy with thank you cards, I’ve sort of neglected birthday cards.

Today’s card came together so easily and yet the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper really steals the show.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took the candle pattern from the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper and matted it on Gold cardstock.

I took the star pattern and cut it in a banner and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I took a Tupperware and mixed a little Gold embossing powder and Black embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment from the Better Together stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled the mix of embossing powders on it.  I then heat set it.  The mix of the two colors gives a very cool look – love it!

Before adhering the sentiment down with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I wound behind it some gold and black cord.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Boy’s Birthday Card

Today my son turns 10!!!  … Double Digits!

It’s a big deal.  If you’ve followed my blog over the past couple of years, you’ll know that I go all out decorating for birthdays.  Balloons.  Streamers.  Beds decorated.

And I always try to think about their interests and what they’re into for both their decorating, as well as their birthday card.  My son is really into black and lime green right now, so that’s what I went with!

Of course I had to match the card to the decorations.

My card starts off with Basic Black cardstock.  I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and matted it on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

I stamped the bike using the Bike Ride Stamp Set and cut it out using the Build A Bike Framelits Dies.  I used Memento Black and Lemon Lime Twist ink.  I also cut out the Lemon Lime Twist banners using the framelits.

I stamped the dots using the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and cut the balloons out using the Balloon Banquet Punch.  I tied Black Baker’s Twine around them and tied a knot around the handlebars of the bike.  I adhered the balloons down with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the bike (minus the tires) down in Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the Sunshine Wishes Stamp Set and was stamped in Memento Black ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Rainbow Birthday Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

When I saw the new 2018-2019 In-Colors I knew they’d be perfect the Sunshine & Rainbows Bundle.

I started my card out with Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  I then took a panel of Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove cardstock and matted them on Whisper White cardstock.  I wrapped around it some Grapefruit Grove Twine from the Nature’s Twine Combo Pack (available June 1st).

This twine is GREAT!!!!  The only way I can describe it is it has a little “umf” in it…like it’s stiffer, so it makes a beautiful bow!  Get a sampling of this twine and all the new ribbon in my Annual Catalog Product Share!

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the Pattern Party Decorative Mask and Embossing Paste to create my clouds.  Embossing paste adds such great texture to the card and although I’ve left it white, you can dye it different colors.

Next I used the Sunshine & Rainbow Bundle to create my rainbow.  I cut the arcs in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel, and Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

*This bundle is set to retire, so get it while you can!

I put washi tape all along the back of the rainbow, first to hold the colors together, but also so I could adhered Stampin’ Dimensionals behind it!  I stamped a sun from the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set in Pineapple Punch ink.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink.

Enjoy!
