Stampin’ Up! Lots of Lavender Birthday

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is CelebrateI created a card to celebrate a birthday.  Happy hopping!!

My card today features one of the FREE Sale-a-bration items available beginning January 3rd…the Lots of Lavender Stamp Set.  It includes a lavender bunch, as well as a flower cluster and two-step stamping.

My card starts off with Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  I took a panel of Old Olive cardstock and embossed it using the NEW Simple Stripes embossing folder (available to order January 3rd).  I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the lavender bundle outline on Whisper White cardstock in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder and heat embossed it.  I stamped the lavender image in Rich Razzleberry ink over the flowers and the leaves and bow in Old Olive ink.  I cut this out using the Layering Ovals Framlits.  I cut out a gold label using the Everyday Label Punch, cut it in half, and adhered half on either side of the oval.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest stamp set on Whisper White cardstock in Rich Razzleberry ink.  Behind it I wound around some Gold Thread.  I also put a Rich Razzleberry banner behind it, as well as a piece of Mini Gold Sequins.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Delivery

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

The other day while looking through my ribbons I saw the Rich Razzleberry Stitched Edged Ribbon.  It got me thinking…I couldn’t remember the last time I had used Rich Razzleberry be it in paper, ribbon, ink.  It had been a long while and I really enjoy this color.

So that’s how we got today’s card.

My card starts off with (drum roll please) Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  I then cut a Whisper White cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.  I cut a pattern from the Birthday Memories DSP measuring 2-3/4″ x 5-1/8″ and adhered it to the top.  I took a panel of Rich Razzleberry cardstock measuring 1-1/8″ x 5-1/8″ to adhere to the bottom.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Deliveries Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I cut a scalloped oval for it to be matted on from the Layering Ovals Framelits.  Behind that I cut a 1″ Whisper White double banner .

Lastly, I adhered a Rich Razzleberry bow to the left of the oval and added a few Rich Razzleberry enamel dots.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lift Me Up

Today’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

For today’s card I thought I would take Christmas colors and make a non-Christmas card.

I haven’t used the Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating framelits in a while and I forgot how much fun they are!!

My card starts off with Pool Party cardstock.  I then took the two larger cloud framelits and cut out clouds from the Pool Party.  I adhered a panel of Whisper White cardstock behind the clouds.

Next I stamped out different balloons in Real Red, Emerald Envy, and Pool Party ink and cut them out using the Up & Away Framelits.  I arranged them in different spots along the left side of the card.

I wrapped around some Pool Party Baker’s Twine in a bow.  Next I stamped the birthday sentiment in Emerald Envy ink on Whisper White.  I cut the two lines apart and attached them using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered behind the birthday sentiment a piece of a white doily.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up Lemon Zest Birthday

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I’m taking another short break from autumn and Christmas cards today (don’t worry I’ll be back at it tomorrow 🙂

I’m always in need of birthday cards and I find during this season I’m always short because I’m not making them as often.

My card today starts off with Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  I love this color paired with the Daffodil Delight – so bright and yummy!  I then stamped the lemon image from the Lemon Zest stamp set over the card front in Soft Sky ink.

Next I took a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock and embossed it using the Seaside embossing folder.  I matted it on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card front.  I took a panel of Tempting Turquoise cardstock, stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest stamp set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder, and heat embossed it.  I matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card front.

Next I used the Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating punch to create my lemons.  Ironically enough, my Daffodil Delight ink pad is in need of re-inking so it actually gave this nice gradient look to the stamped image which I really liked.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lemon Zest – Two Ways

Before we get to today’s card, just a reminder that you have until noon today (September 1st) to order one of my 2017 Holiday Catalog product shares.  You can see all the details here.

My card today is inspired by the sketch challenge this week at Global Design Project.

My card today starts off with a Panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Lemon Zest stamp set and Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and Pink Pirouette inks to create my pattern.  I then stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink.

I matted the Whisper White cardstock on a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and then tied a bow around them using the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon.  I then adhered that to a Peekaboo Peach card front.

And the inside…

Without thinking, I first cut the Whisper White cardstock too small to coordinate with the sketch challenge.  I had already stamped it out and didn’t want to just toss it, so I made another card and this time used Daffodil Delight ribbon and changed the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Special Occasions – Happy Birthday

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenges over at Global Design Project and CAS(E) this Sketch!

My card today starts off with Night of Navy cardstock which I embossed using the Seaside embossing folder.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the Paisleys & Posies stamp set to create my pattern with Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Flirty Flamingo inks.  I then matted it on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and adhered it to the card.

I really enjoyed the ribbon effect I used in my card the other day, that I decided to do it again. I put some Tear & Tape adhesive down first and then sort of folded the Bermuda Bay ribbon over itself on it.

I stamped the bigger image from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set (first stamping off first) in Flirty Flamingo ink.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp in Night of Navy ink.  I cut it out using the Stitched Framelits and mounted it on a scalloped Bermuda Bay circle cut out using the Layering Circles Framelits.  I adhered the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!
