Stampin’ Up! Gather Together Card

Last Saturday was World Card Making Day.

The team and I had fun going live all throughout the day with different presentations.  Today’s card is the one I shared.

It features the Gather Together Bundle and what I love (and it’s hard to see in the pictures) is the hint of gold ink on the leaves.  Be sure to watch the video below as you can see it better on video and I also show I got this effect.

It was really fun to see all our presentations and if interested, you can still join the group to see the different videos.

The design for today’s card was inspired by a color and sketch challenge I gave my team.  For the month of October, each week I’m giving them a new challenge.  The idea is to jumpstart creativity and even challenge them to try new things…and of course, there’ll be prizes at the end.  🙂

To see how I created today’s card, check out the video below:

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Fussy Cutting Birthday Card

Out of all the new Designer Series Paper from the 2019 Holiday Catalog, I think my favorite pattern comes from the Come to Gather DSP…

…the beautiful wood grain pattern.

So I let it take front and center on my card today with some fussy cutting from the Bird Ballad DSP.

Today’s card is part of the new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It’s a fun sketch, so be sure to play along!

My card starts off with Petal Pink cardstock which I covered with the wood grain pattern from the Come to Gather DSP and I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out a Petal Pink banner.

I took the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and fussy cut out one of the bird images, as well as three floral images to adhere next to it.

**The great thing about this paper…it’s included in our Buy 3, Get 1 Free Select Designer Series Paper sale right now!!!  More details below.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Pool Party ink.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Birthday Card

If you’re ever having a hard time putting colors together for a card, my go-to is to look at colors in Designer Series Paper.

On the back of all the Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! always makes note of the coordinating colors in the pack.  The inspiration for my card today came from retired Designer Series Paper from last year.

My card starts off with Blackberry Bliss cardstock which I embossed using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

I then took a panel of Whisper White cardstock  and stamped the leaves from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron ink.

I used the Nature’s Roots Dies and Mint Macaron to cut and emboss two leaves.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! NEW Harvest Hellos Card

The 2019 Holiday Catalog is pretty amazing!!!

One of the perks of being a demo is being able to order from it early.  Today’s card uses one of the new bundles, Harvest Hellos.

This is a great bundle that pairs a stamp set with a punch.  They both double for apples and pumpkins.

My card starts off with Poppy Parade cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the apple in Memento Black ink on the top and the seeds around it.  I stamped the cut apple on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock.

I used Poppy Parade (apples), Petal Pink (cut apple), Granny Apple Green (leaf), Crumb Cake (stem), Basic Black (seeds) Stampin’ Blends Markers to color them in.  I used the Apple Builder Punch to cut the sliced apple out.

On the bottom of the card I adhered a Poppy Parade pattern of Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped around a Linen Thread bow around it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Varied Vases Card

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Rococo Rose cardstock.  I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Vellum cardstock.

I then adhered a Rococo Rose pattern from the 2019-2021 In-Color Designer Series Paper to the left of the card.

Using Memento Black ink and the Varied Vases Stamp Set, I stamped the three vase outlines on Rococo Rose cardstock, the flower outline on Whisper White cardstock, and the stems directly on the Very Vanilla cardstock in Memento Black ink.  I stamped the solid flower image in Rococo Rose ink.

I cut the vases, flowers, and leaves (from Mossy Meadow cardstock) out using the Vase Builder Punch.

I stamped the sentiment from the Varied Vases stamp set directly underneath the vases in Mossy Meadow ink and tied a Linen Thread bow around the one vase.

Enjoy!

PRODUCT LIST:

Stampin’ Up! Daughter’s 13th Birthday Card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop theme is “Celebrate Summer.”

The card I made means summer to me because:

1) I take A LOT of pictures during the summer.  Between vacation, hikes, and fun outdoors activities, tons of pictures to be scrapbooked;
and 2) Wednesday my oldest daughter turns 13.  She’s always sayings, “Oh, snap” so I thought this would make a perfect birthday card for her.

I always decorate the house for the kids’ birthdays with streamers and balloons and match the card to the decorations.  The colors will be mint, teal, and gold, so here’s what I created…

My card starts off with Mint Macaron cardstock which I embossed using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

I then matted a panel of Whisper White cardstock on Gold Foil.  I stamped the “oh, snap” from the Capture the Good Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana in the one corner.

I stamped the camera from the Capture the Good Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays in Versamark ink on Coastal Cabana cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Embossed Flower

I recently saw a card made by another demo from Australia, Teneale Williams, and I was so inspired by it.  I loved all the layering and texture in it.

So I decided to CASE (copy and selectively edit) the card.

My card starts off with Rococo Rose cardstock.  Next I took a panel of Sahara Sand cardstock and embossed it using the Lace Embossing Folder and then matted it on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I took a Rococo Rose pattern from the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and roughed up the edge of it using my Paper Snips.  I ran the snips on the side of it and then bent in the corners a little bit.

Next I stamped the image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I cut it out using the coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the Varied Vases Stamp Set in Rococo Rose ink, adhering it down with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! My (now) 11-year-old’s birthday card

This month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog hop theme is “birthday”.

I knew right away that I was going to use my son’s 11-year-old birthday card for the challenge.
We have a tradition in our house where I decorate the house in streamers and balloons the night before my kids’ birthdays, so when they wake up, the house is all decorated.

This year I picked out the colors I wanted to decorate in and then made the card around it.
We also have a tradition where I tape the birthday number on the wall.

Here’s the card I made for my son. He turned 11 which can be a tricky age as they’re not little kids anymore, but not quite teens, so I went with a clean, simple, bright card.

The card starts off with Pacific Point cardstock which I embossed using the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.

Next I cut strips of Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover, Pacific Point, Blueberry Bushel, and Night of Navy cardstock.

I stamped the different birthday sentiments from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set on the different colors, sprinkled them with White Embossing Powder, and heat set it.  I then matted this on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it down using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!
