Stampin’ Up! Brightly Lit Christmas

My card today features the fun Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle.  What makes bundles great is they pair a stamp set and thinlits/framelits/punch together for a discounted price of 10%.  The stamp set and thinlits (in this case) sometimes match perfectly to cut out images and other times compliment one another.

I start off with Soft Sky cardstock which I embossed using the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I then started by creating my lamppost using the Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle.  I cut the lamp out in Basic Black cardstock and the lights in Daffodil Delight cardstock.  The bow comes from the Christmas Around the World DSP which perfectly matches the bow thinlit from the bundle!

I cut out a pattern from the Christmas Around the World DSP and then used a square framelit to cut out the inside.  I layered behind it a panel of Daffodil Delight cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the At Home With You stamp set in Memento Black on Real Red cardstock.  I added a Whisper white die cut snowflake from the Seasonal Tags Thinlits and wrapped behind it some Silver Thread.

Enjoy!

My card today was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home

Are you sick of me saying I’m so excited for today’s card?!

Because I am so excited for today’s card!!

Last Friday I had my Holiday Catalog party.  We played some games, won some door prizes, and we also made two cards.  I decided to make the cards a little more labor intensive than I normally would.

My rule of thumb for my parties is I never design a card that I wouldn’t myself proudly send.  But even these 2 cards had more details than usual.  We had plenty of time so we took it step by step and everyone’s cards came out great!

So for this first card (second one will be posted tomorrow) I used the Hearts Come Home Bundle.  I start out with Night of Navy cardstock.  After rubbing the spot to be stamped on with an Embossing Buddy, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.

Next I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and used the edgelit with church from the Hometown Greetings Edgelits to cut out the scene.  I took the edgelit with the houses and lined it up as best I could and cut out the extra house.  I then took the Softly Falling embossing folder and embossed only the bottom of the scene.

Next I took some scrap pieces of So Saffron cardstock and cut them to fit behind the buildings.  I then ran through the same edgelit as was used before (with the church) with Always Artichoke cardstock and then cut off the trees and glued them on the white trees.

Don’t forget to check out my Facebook page tomorrow to see exactly how I made this card.  If you miss it, the video will stay posted!

Enjoy!

I went ahead and made a Facebook Live video showing how to make this card.  It’s only my second one I’ve ever made and there are a few glitches and it’s very “real”.

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

AUTUMN HOME DECOR

I created this cute tag for a pumpkin (or other décor) for my Holiday Catalog party as a door prize.  I got so many ooohs and aaahs that I decided to sell them.  Check out this post for more details on how to grab yours!

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pumpkin

My card today starts off with Tangerine Tango cardstock.  I then took two panels of a pattern from the Painted Autumn DSP, mounted them on Tangerine Tango cardstock, and adhered them over a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I took another panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and mounted it on Gold cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Better Together stamp set in Old Olive ink on the Very Vanilla cardstock.  I added a Tangerine Tango and Gold enamel dot in the upper left hand corner.

I then used the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle to create my focal point.  I stamped the pumpkins/gourd/leaves in Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive inks.  Hands down my favorite piece to this bundle is the die cut pumpkin (Gold cardstock) and curly stems (Old Olive).

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels

Being that I’m offering two special bundles right now (see below), I wanted to use the Merry Little Labels stamp set today.

This is a fun set that is great for holiday tags, but can easily be used for cards as well.

My card today starts off with Basic Gray cardstock.  I then took a pattern from the Year of Cheer DSP and mounted it on the gorgeous Champagne cardstock.  I really wish my lighting did this paper justice because it’s absolutely beautiful!!!

Next I took a panel of Silver cardstock and stamped the “Let It Snow” image in Versamark from the Merry Little Labels stamp set.  I then sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat embossed it.

Note:  I normally hold the paper when I heat emboss, but for this I put the paper on a heat-safe surface and heated it, that way the paper didn’t curl.

I cut the sentiment out using the Everyday Label punch.

I adhered a Silver foil snowflake to the card front (to go under the sentiment).  I thought the card needed a hint of color, so I added a Soft Sky banner and then adhered the label using Stampin’ dimensionals.

Enjoy!

My card was inspired by this week’s challenge at Fab Friday.

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.

My card today starts with Old Olive cardstock.  I took a panel of Basic Black cardstock and used the Card Front Builder thinlits to die cut either end of it.  I matted it on Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card.

I then cut out a panel from one of the patterns from the Merry Little Christmas DSP just big enough to cover the vertical lines that were cut out from the Basic Black cardstock.  I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Archival Black ink and then cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I then stamped the poinsettias from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in Real Red ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut them out using the Card Front Builder thinlits.  I adhered the poinsettias using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Oh So Eclectic Thank You

I received the prettiest birthday card yesterday from my amazing upline, Amy. My card today was inspired by her card.

I start out with a panel of Shimmery White cardstock.  I stamped the leaves from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set in Versamark ink on Fresh Fig, Bermuda Bay, and Peekaboo Peach cardstock.  I sprinkled them with Copper Embossing Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut them out using the coordinating Eclectic Layers Framelits.

I then used the stencil created to watercolor on the Shimmery White cardstock leaves using an Aqua Painter and Fresh Fig, Bermuda Bay, and Peekaboo Peach inks.

I took a piece of Fresh Fig ribbon and folded it onto itself.  First I cut a piece of Tear & Tape adhesive and put that in the spot where the ribbon would go.  Then I sort of folded the ribbon onto itself.  I added some more Tear & Tape adhesive under the flaps to keep them down.  I stamped the sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set in Versamark ink on a banner of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat embossed it.

I put some adhesive on the back of the banner and wound around some Copper Thread behind it.  I adhered it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I mounted the Shimmery Whisper White cardstock on Bermuda Bay cardstock and then adhered it to a Fresh Fig card.

Enjoy!

My card was also inspired by challenges this week at Just Us Girls and Sunday Stamps.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn At Home With You

My card today was inspired by the challenge this week at Fab Friday.

My card todays off with Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I missed together the Embossing Paste with a drop or two of Tangerine Tango ink refill smeared it over the brick design from the Pattern Party Decorative Mark using a Palette Knife.  I then matted this on Tangerine Tango cardstock.

I then used the At Home with You Bundle to create my door and flowers.  I stamped the door image in Archival Black ink on a pattern from the Wood Textures DSP and cut it out.  I then stamped the sunflower/pumpkin image in Archival Black ink on some Shimmery White cardstock.  I used a Blender Pen and Tangerine Tango (pumpkins), Tranquil Tide (leaves), Lemon Lime Twist (inside of sunflowers), and Peekaboo Peach (sunflower petals) inks to color the images in.

I stamped the sentiment in Archival Black, also stamping the bow on the door.  I cut the flowers/pumpkins out with the coordinating At Home Framelits, adhering them with Stampin Dimensionals.  Underneath the door I added a panel of Tranquil Tide cardstock.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Sneak Peek

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

I am so excited about today’s card.  It was a labor of love using the NEW Night of Bethlehem Bundle (available September 1st).

My card starts off with a panel of Night of Navy cardstock.  I used a sponger and Craft Ink and dabbed the ink in the middle of the card.  I did this a bunch of times as the paper really absorbs the ink.  I then matted this on Silver cardstock and wound some Silver Thread around the side of it before adhering it to the Basic Black card front.

Next I used the coordinating Bethlehem Edgelits to cut out a scene in Silver cardstock and Basic Black cardstock. I trimmed them down and adhered them to the card.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.

SNEAK PEEK Merry Café

This week’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop is a color challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card today uses a bit of brand new product from the Holiday Catalog, as well as product that is currently in the Annual Catalog.

Specifically, from the Holiday Catalog I used the Merry Café Stamp Set which coordinates beautifully with the Coffee Café Bundle.

My card uses Soft Sky cardstock as its base and layered it with a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut a banner of Gold cardstock which I layered over that.

First I took a panel of Blushing Bride cardstock and matted it on Very Vanilla cardstock.  On the bottom I adhered behind it two banners of patterns from the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper.

I used the Coffee Café Bundle to create my coffee cup using the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper.  The lid and sentiment comes from the NEW Merry Café stamp set which I stamped in Soft Sky ink.  I picked this sentiment, thinking this card would be sweet for someone expecting a new baby.  I layered underneath the coffee cup some Soft Sky Ribbon and Mini Gold Sequins.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Celebration Time Birthday

Today’s card is inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

My card starts off with Fresh Fig cardstock.  About midway down the card, I wound around a piece of Gold Thread.

I took a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and used the Celebration Time stamp set to create the banner.  I stamped it in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat embossed it.  I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Fresh Fig ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  When I cut it out using the Celebration Thinlits, I put a piece of Gold cardstock behind it.  I snipped off the top and bottom of the cake and adhered them over the Very Vanilla cut out image.

I made a bow using the Celebration Thinlits and Gold cardstock and added a few Gold Enamel Dots.

Enjoy!
