Congrats – Cupcakes & Carousels

Whenever I need a quick card – I always turn to Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It fills the card nicely and all you have to do is add a sentiment and maybe another detail or two and you’re good!

My card today starts off with Bermuda Bay cardstock as its base.  I then took a pattern from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP and using a sponge, highlighted around the edge of it with Early Espresso ink.  The paper naturally has a distressed look to it, but I thought I would just emphasize it even more.

I then took another pattern from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP and adhered a panel to the lower part of my card.  Using yet again another pattern, I cut a square and matted it on Calypso Coral cardstock and adhered it to my card.  Lastly I used the Banners for You bundle and Bermuda Bay ink to stamp and cut out my sentiment.

We made this card at a continuing education class I taught this spring.  I accidentally cut the Bermuda Bay cardstock the wrong way and so we turned it around a bit.  I love how this one came out too!
