Totally Trees CASe Card

Today’s card combines 3 challenges – What Will Your Stamp, Global Design Project, and Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, a 3 challenge card is very exciting!

I created a simple CAS (clean and simple) card using the parameters from the challenges above.  Emerald Envy is my base color and I layered it with Mint Macaron, a pattern from the Petals & Paisleys DSP, Dapper Denim, and Very Vanilla.

I used the Totally Trees stamp set to create my pine tree in Emerald Envy and my star at the top in Dapper Denim.

Lastly, I stamped the Merry Christmas from the Better Together stamp set in Emerald Envy.

See, easy peasy.

Enjoy!

Hello My Friend – Jar Of Love

I had a lot of fun with today’s card.  Whenever a friend calls and I answer the phone, I usually say “Hello My Friend.”  It’s just what I say.  At this point it would be weird saying anything else.  So, it’s what inspired me for today’s card.

My card today uses Wild Wasabi as a base and layers it with Very Vanilla.  I then used a pattern from the Fruit Stand DSP to layer over that.  I cut two strips of banners, in Soft Sky (1-1/2″) and Wild Wasabi (2″) using the Triple Banner Punch.

jar-of-love-stamp-it-up-with-jaimieI next created my jar and fish.  I stamped the jar in Wild Wasabi using the Jar of Love stamp set and stamped the water in Soft Sky.  I then stamped the little goldfish in Pumpkin Pie.  The bundle is great because it makes cutting them out a synch with the coordinating framelits.

jar-of-love-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie-stampin-up

Lastly, I created my sentiment using the Labeler Alphabet.  This wasn’t a stamp set I bought right away, but I found myself wanting to use certain sentiments which didn’t exist and wanted to create my own.

A little Labeler Alphabet hint (which may seem obvious to everyone else), but you can’t just take the letters and line them up to create a word.  You really have to stamp letter by letter.

My letters were stamped in Pumpkin Pie and I added a few Enamel Dots in Pumpkin Pie and Soft Sky and I placed them over a backdrop of Vellum.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by the challenges over at What Will You Stamp and Global Design Project.

Stampin’ Up! Penned & Painted

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s challenge at Global Design Project which happens to be a CASE the Designer challenge.  If you’re not familiar, the term to “CASE” stands for to Copy and Selectively Edit.

gdp056

What inspired me about the card being cased are the happy colors and the overall layout.

Here’s what I came up with…

I used Marina Mist as the base for my card and layered it with the yummy Whisper White – yes, yummy.  Stampin Up’s white cardstock is like no other.

penned-painted-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I used the Penned & Painted Stamp Set to stamp two flowers and leaves.  This stamp set is really fun to use because it’s two-step, which gives depth to the image.  One of the flowers was stamped in Marina Mist, the other in Flirty Flamingo, and the leaves in Old Olive.

penned-painted-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie-stampin-up

Next I created a little detail at the top of my card using the Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon and Thick White Baker’s Twine bow.  I originally didn’t plan on adding the enamel dots, but I had a small smudge that needed to be covered.  So, to finish off the card, I used enamel shapes to scattered over the card.

The sentiment comes from the Better Together Stamp Set and was stamped in Flirty Flamingo.

Enjoy!

Flourishing Phrases – Just a Note

My card developed first because I knew I wanted to participate in the challenge over at Global Design Project this week.  It’s a RAK challenge – Random Acts of Kindness.  These are my FAVORITE cards!  I love to send a card just because, when the person doesn’t expect it, when it’s purpose is to uplift and encourage and send some love.

gdp055-theme

Then I needed some layout inspiration, so I went for The Paper Players challenge.

pp314

My card starts with a pattern from the Blooms & Bliss DSP layered on Sweet Sugarplum.  Then I took another pattern from the same DSP and layered it on Blushing Bride.

flourishing-phrases-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

I then used the Flourishing Phrases bundle to cut out a Blushing Bride large flower and three leaves to layer over the DSP.

I stamped probably one of my favorite sentiments of all time, “Just a Note,” in Rich Razzleberry on Blushing Bride and adhered it below the flower.  I added a few rhinestones throughout the card to add a little bling.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Hang Your Stocking

For today’s card, I bring you another Christmas card.  You might think – What’s with all the Christmas?!  It’s not even October.

I know, I know.

I can’t stand when retail stores put up Christmas too early, but for me it’s a matter of being able to fully enjoy Christmas.  If I have my cards done now, that’s one less thing to do when all I want to be doing is baking cookies, watching cheesy Christmas movies, and sitting down with a good holiday puzzle with my kiddos (another huge stress reliever for me).

So, here we go – another Christmas card.  I hope you feel inspired and not like I’m rushing through the holidays.

My card starts with some Cherry Cobbler as its base.  I used a Gold Foil Sheet and cut out two strips of 1/2 wide to place at the top of my card.  I then took a piece of Very Vanilla Lace Trim to layer of the gold.

hang-your-stocking-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie

Next I layered my banners using the Gold Foil Sheet and the music sheet pattern from the This Christmas DSP.

hang-your-stocking-stamp-it-up-with-jaimie-stampin-up

Finally, I stamped the angel from the Wonder of Christmas in Cherry Cobbler and fussy cut the sentiment out and placed two gold enamel dots over where the angels’ hands were.  I stamped in Cherry Cobbler one of the stockings from the Hang the Stockings Bundle to layer over the banners and cut it out with the coordinating thinlit.  Before adhering those two elements, I wrapped around a few circles of Gold Baker’s Twine from the Trio Pack.

Enjoy!

I cut out two balloons using the Balloon Bouquet Punch and used the same embossing folder to make them 3D.  I stamped the baby carriage from the Something for Baby stamp set in Marina Mist and cut it out using the coordinating Baby’s First Framelits.
