Stampin’ Up! Foxy Friends – Love You More Card

This week we have a combined Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  I chose to work with the sketch.  Happy hopping!

My card today starts off with Night of Navy cardstock.  I then matted a pattern from the Under the Mistletoe DSP on Whisper White cardstock.

This Designer Series Paper is a part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale for the month of July!

I took another panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the trees from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set in Old Olive ink.  I used the masking technique to give the effect that one was behind the other.  I matted this on Night of Navy cardstock and adhered it to the card.

Next I used the Fox Builder Punch to create the fox using Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock.  I used Memento Black ink to stamp the fox’s eyes and nose.

I stamped the word bubble of hearts by stamping the image from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Real Red cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White embossing powder and heat set it.  I stamped the same image in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut the heart out for the fox’s heart.

I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year in Real Red Ink and added a True Gentleman Button to finish it off.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Blended Seasons – Best Wishes

For the month of August you will have the opportunity to order the Blended Seasons Bundle.  It will only be available in the month of August and only while supplies last!

This is a versatile bundle, perfecting for stamping and scrapbooking all year round!

I couldn’t decide whether to use Mango Melody cardstock for the background or Crumb Cake cardstock.  I went to my Facebook page to ask what everyone thought I should do.

I was surprised that the response was pretty 50/50.

Head over to my Facebook page to compare the two images and let me know which one you think I should’ve gone with.

My card today starts off with Mango Melody cardstock.  I then took a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped the wheat image in Versamarkink multiple times across it.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

I cut out the stitched image from a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered it over the Crumb Cake cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Washi Tape technique to stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink on Calypso Coral cardstock.

Lastly I cut out two leaves, one from Calypso Coral cardstock and the other from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Stitched Seasons Framelits.  I tied a Linen Thread bow over the two leaves.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake

Happy Monday!!!

How’s your week looking?  I know most don’t like Mondays, but I sort of welcome them.  It’s an opportunity to kick start the week right.

My kiddos are now home for summer vacation and I try and do something fun with them every day to stay busy – I call it Mommy Camp 🙂  Here’s to the first full week of summer vacation!

99% of the time I buy a stamp because I think it’s versatile and I can get a lot out of it.

However, sometimes I’m just drawn to a specific image.

But in the case of the Lilypad Lake (which I recently bought) it was the sentiments.  As I created my card today I had a very specific person in mind and decided to keep the front sentiment-less and on the inside I stamped the “Thinking of you with loving thoughts and prayers.”

My card today starts off with Pool Party cardstock.  I embossed it with (what I think is) my new favorite embossing folder – “Subtle.”  I actually bought it because I couldn’t really see from the catalog what it was and now I LOVE it!!!  It’s well…subtle, but is perfect for when you want a little texture, without anything really out there.  Love, love, love!

I then wound around a Lovely Lipstick bow.  Then I matted a panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock on Whisper White cardstock.  I took another panel of Pool Party cardstock and used the Lakeside Framelits Dies to cut out a wave into it which I then matted on Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the lilypads and crane from the Lilypad Lake Bundle in Stazon Black ink on Shimmery White cardstock.  I used a Blender Pen and Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick ink to color in the lilypads and Daffodil Delight ink for the crane and then cut them out with the coordinating framelits.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches.

Stampin’ Up! Sea of Textures Card

Once a month the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop will be combining with the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  We can choose between two challenges and I chose to work with the sketch challenge.  Happy hopping!

My card starts off with Balmy Blue cardstock on which I adhered a pattern from the Tranquil Textures DSP.

I next matted a piece of Whisper White cardstock on Balmy Blue cardstock and adhered another pattern from the Tranquil Textures DSP to the bottom of that.

I used the Under the Sea Framelits Dies to cut out the various ocean details using Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue, Tranquil Tide, and Crumb Cake cardstock.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment twice, first in Versamark ink on Tranquil Tide cardstock which I sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set.  The second time I stamped it in Tranquil Tide ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I fussy cut out the “wonderful” from the latter and adhered it using Stampin’ Dimensionals over the other.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature – HSS#292

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments #292 Challenge is a fun sketch challenge!  Be sure to play along!

I used the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set to create a clean, minimalist card for the challenge.

My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I then took two patterns from the Nature’s Poem DSP, offset them from one another, and adhered them to the card front.

I then took a panel of Vellum cardstock and stamped the two leaves twice from the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set in Versamark ink.  I sprinkled them with White Embossing Powder and heat set them.  I adhered the Vellum down using Tombow liquid glue, as I find this does not show through.

I stamped the sentiment from the Another Wonderful Year Stamp Set in Versamark ink on Grapefruit Grove cardstock.  I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it down.

Finally, I added two Adhesive Backed Sequins to the corner and tied a Linen Thread bow for the other.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Love You To Pieces Card

I’ve been so busy cutting up and prepping my Product Shares that I really haven’t had time to play with my new Annual Catalog goodies.

So I was so excited yesterday to pull out the Love You To Pieces Bundle for my Facebook Live Tutorial.

This is a fun set and I knew I “needed” it because my girls and I LOVE doing puzzles in the fall and around Christmas.  I can’t wait to scrapbook with this bundle!

I had to move my Facebook Live Tutorial to Friday night because of a scheduling conflict, but normally they’re Wednesday night at 7:30 pm EST.  If you catch it live and leave a comment, at the end I draw a name for someone to receive that night’s card!

If you ever miss a tutorial, you can always catch them on YouTube.

Check out the video below to see how I made today’s card!

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions – Stamparatus

Happy Friday!

Any fun plans for the weekend?

As we speak, I am spending the whole day with 22 second graders for my kids’ school Field Day.  I always walk away from Field Day (or any time spent at school) thinking how in the world do teachers do it?!?!  My hats off to all the teachers out there!

My card today is a fun and bright one that uses the Stamparatus…

I know – two days in a row!!

I start off with Pool Party cardstock.  I next took a panel of Whisper White cardstock (which will be matted on Berry Burst cardstock) and put it on the base of the Stamparatus.

I used the larger of the “flower” images from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and stuck it to the hinge of the Stamparatus.  I inked it up in Berry Burst ink and pressed down.  Then I unhinged it, moved it to the next lower hinge, and repeated this all the way down.  This way the “flowers” are all perfectly spaced out.  I did the same thing for the smaller flower in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I adhered a banner of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and wound around it a Linen Thread bow.  Using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, I cut out a Pool Party oval and stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Versamark.  I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it.

I adhered the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Enjoy!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps Challenge.

Swirly Bird Sailboat Card – Hand Stamped Sentiments 291

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is an inspirational challenge.

So immediately I thought nautical…
However (and to my shock) I don’t have any nautical stamps!

Although this has since been corrected as I bought the Sea of Textures Bundle yesterday 😉

So I decided to create a watercolor background inspired by the colors and look of the image.  My card starts off with Thick Whisper White cardstock.

I took a panel of Watercolor Paper and used an Aqua Painter to make it very wet.  I then used the Aqua Painter to pick up ink which I squeezed over the paper.  The tinted water naturally pooled and then I dried it using a Heat Tool.  I did one color at a time so this created different shades of each color.

I did this using Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, and Pool Party ink.  I ran this through the Big Shot in the Seaside embossing folder and then matted it on Night of Navy cardstock.

I created my sailboat using the Swirly Bird stamp set, which I fussy cut out and adhered using Stampin Dimensionals.  I used Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, and Pool Party ink.  Behind the sailboat I adhered some burlap ribbon and then I stamped the sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set in Night of Navy.

Enjoy!
